Gracewalk Counselling

I am very thankful that I have not had major hurts in my life to deal with,
but even so Frank, my husband, has noticed that certain things "push
my buttons".

Just recently I overreacted to a large quantity of work needing to be
completed by a deadline. I felt completely overwhelmed, out of control
and strangely sad, to the point that I was not able to function as normal.

Frank ministered to me and the Lord showed me a childhood memory. I
was about four years old and playing with my younger sister on our
family orchard. She had fallen into a very deep and smoothed sided
drain, which thankfully was empty. Close by though, at the end of the
drain, was a dangerously deep pool of water. The drain was too deep
for my sister to climb out of and too deep for me to help her and the
deep pool of water terrified me. In my memory I felt "overwhelmed" and
"out of control". As a little girl I ran screaming for help. My dad, who was
working nearby, amazingly came running with a bucket and rope!
During the ministry session the Lord showed me that He had the
situation completely under control because Dad came equipped with
the very things needed for the situation not even knowing what had
happened.

When asked by Frank to "look at what little Laraine was now doing", in
my mind's eye I saw her sitting down making a daisy chain. This didn't
really happen but the Lord had shown me a picture of myself at
complete peace! The healing had taken place. The healing from this
childhood incident brought peace to my present situation and has
continued to bring peace in other stressful situations.

I have also experienced other times of healing through Theophostic
Counselling as other strong and often damaging emotions have
become apparent. I am blessed to be married to a counsellor! I now feel
more relaxed within and better able to handle the demands and
stresses of life.
